I’m entering the promo season for Assassin’s Gambit, which comes out at the beginning of April. So I will (hopefully) be doing a lot of guest blogs, interviews, etc., plus keeping an eye out for incoming reviews. I think rather than post these events as they happen, I will collect them over the course of the week and post a round-up each Monday.
That will leave Wednesday for History for the Fantasy Buff posts, and Friday for anything miscellaneous.
So! The first promo round-up! One of my critique partners is an artist. He prints out hard copies of my chapters to critique, and on rare occasions he sketches a picture on the back of the hard copy. His name is Thom Marrion, and he gave me permission to post this sketch he made for book 3, the one I’m currently writing. I love this sketch!
Second, I am interviewed by the Online Writing Workshop for Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror for their monthly newsletter. While I use only in-person critique groups now, Assassin’s Gambit was critiqued in its entirety on the OWW, and I made a lot of writer friends there. *wave* Here is the newsletter.
And third, I guest blogged for the Qwillery this past week on the topic of “Dangerous Women”–about flipping the gender dynamic found in many romances. Why is it so often the woman who falls in love with a dangerous man? I wanted to write a book about a man who falls in love with a dangerous woman, and who doesn’t come to a bad end because of it. Guest post here.
